Thanks for the link to the NYT article about the efforts to locate and rescue the hostages. I read several articles from the NYT daily, but had not seen this. Unless the command and control of Hamas collapses significantly, Like you, I simply can't believe that a great many more hostages will be rescued alive unless a ceasefire is established that also includes an (uneven) hostage exchange.
